10 hen party ideas
Top things to do on your hen night
So you’re planning the big hen night – the bride’s last night of freedom. It’s down to you to make this a night to remember – so what are you planning on doing? Will it be a night of non-stop drinking or are you looking for a quieter affair? Whatever your preference may be, we’ve put together 10 hen party ideas that should cater for any bride’s taste and give them a last night of singledom to remember.

Hen party idea: Watch a musical
Does the bride dance and sing along to just about every cheesy musical song that’s going? Then a trip to a top musical could be just the thing to make this hen party a night to remember. So, get ready for a guaranteed amazing night of glitz, glam and a whole lot of singing. Then, polish the night off with a few (too many) cocktails and an encore of all the show’s memorable numbers.
Hen party idea: Pole dancing
If Demi Moore can do it, then you and your girls most certainly can too! So, get your legs out ladies, take to the pole and let the lesson begin. We can’t imagine your other half will object to this new earned skill and you’ll be burning a few calories while you’re at it- so you can indulge in a meal or cocktails afterwards.
Hen party idea: Themed nights
Love ABBA or a bit of the Jackson 5? Or is Justin Timberlake more your thing? Whatever your preference you’ll probably be able to find a dinner and drinks themed night to match – then naturally get yourselves dolled up to suit the theme. Although, if singing and dancing isn’t your game, then what about a murder mystery night? Cluedo comes to life in one of these top weekend dinner dates.
Hen party idea: Limousine
Start the celebrations in a super luxurious limousine, fully equipped with karaoke, endless song choices and most importantly a whole lot of champagne. Or see what else you can start off in – maybe a giant hummer is more your thing? You can even hire fire engines. Note, to avoid disappointment; please check if the fire engines come with sexy firemen!
Hen party idea: Adrenaline activities
If you’re all a bunch of adrenaline junkies and enjoy a challenge then why not incorporate something different into part of the hen do? Try out water zorbing (walking on water), go white water rafting, abseil down a ridiculously high cliff or even dabble with a bit of kite buggying. Guaranteed to be a day to remember. But if you’re not so sure on all the extreme thrills, you could always take a trip to a top theme park.
Hen party idea: River cruise
Set sail and indulge in a delicious dinner on board ship. This is a great alternative to its on-shore equivalent and it’s a great option if not all of the hens are up for heading to the latest ‘cool kid’ club. Enjoy some great food, with some top-notch drinks and enjoy the open water (you can always head for a night on the town straight after).
Hen party idea: Strip club
'You can leave your hat on'... or not as the case may be. Book yourselves in for some sexy action and see some ripped hotties get their kit off. The only tough decision you really need to make is whether you’re going to hire one exclusively for the lovely bride and her girls or find a night of Chippendales… what a tough decision!
Hen party idea: Spa break
Enjoy a bit of R&R by checking into a luxurious spa and hotel for the weekend. Get pampered silly and come out with radiant skin, beautiful nails and feeling completely relaxed ready for the big day. The bride’s going to have done so much planning that this, plus cocktails and a scrumptious dinner, will leave her in pre-wedding bliss.
Hen party idea: Learn something new
Take to the bar for a cocktail masterclass. Learn the tricks of the trade when it comes to blending the perfect flavours and spirits (successfully flipping the cocktail mixer would naturally be very impressive). Or if you’re not fancying becoming a master of mojitos then why not take to the kitchen for some cupcake creativity – fun and super tasty.
Hen party idea: Cheerleading
Learn a new skill by getting your pom-poms out – it’s time to show off your High School Musical talent. So, embrace your inner cheerleader and get singing and swinging to some cheesy music. Or if you’re adamant about no pom-poms – then maybe something more Glee-like.

Vincent 'The hen night is one of the things that worries me the most. If anybody books a man to undress in front of my daughter they will not be coming to the wedding! The idea of a relaxing spa weekend sounds very good though, I will recommend that to her.'
