Keep it simple

Married life can be hectic -you return to work and normal life and you hardly have any time for one another. So how about enjoying some simple romantic 'honeymoon' treats such as picnics, spa treatments and romantic meals in your favourite restaurants instead of a week in the sun?

Yes that's definitely a good idea. That way you can get everything sorted in your newly married life without fussing over organising a holiday. Maybe that way you could have a honeymoon trip for your one year anniversary?

That sounds like a really good idea. That way you are starting off your new life on a romantic foot, which will hopefully inspire you to carry on like that to a lesser degree.

Would you do this instead of a honeymoon or aswell as?
I wouldn't mind doing it instead of. Holidays can be stressful and expensive

I'm all about the honeymoon! I'd rather cut down on lots of other bits and bobs for the wedding and go somewhere amazing together on our honeymoon!
Allowing yourself an amazing honeymoon will act as a lovely reminder when you're older/got children etc. Even if you don't go on another holiday after that then at least you've got the memories and the photos of an amazing honeymoon!

I've known people who've had to delay their honeymoon though, so if you had to do that this would be a nice idea in the interim.
Definitely - I've known people who've had to put it off due to other commitments, so these little treats would be lovely before you go!

I love this idea it's so great, then you can spread out the costs of your honeymoon and keep looking forward to different things!

I agree. It would be nice to spend a big chunk of time together still though, that's what the honeymoon is all about - at least for me it is

Yes a big chunk of time before you go back to real life, of work, fitting others in etc.

Me too - although I'd like that time to be spent doing awesome things!

And it would keep the wedding magic going that little bit longer knowing you still had your honeymoon to come.
Yeah this sounds a fab idea :)

Totally agree with you Carly, I would much prefer a small intimate wedding to a massive affair (although this is also to do with my personality I guess). But it aso leaves more money for the honeymoon, my fiancé & I have already decided the honeymoon will cost more than the wedding!
You're right, I think your personality has a lot to do with the size and style of your wedding.
here comes the bride
